Edge pressing

Edge pressing is used to form sheet metal, such as after laser cutting.

A tool, often shaped like a wedge, is pressed against the underlying tool. The tool is V-shaped so that the sheet metal is bent/shaped relative to the position of the upper and lower tools. Depending on the upper tool’s position in relation to the lower, different bend angles are achieved.

Bendex’ edge presses are currently rated at up to 150 tonnes.
